ALLIM Qur’an: a new path to the Quran, compared with Tarteel
ALLIM brings Quran reading, word study, different memorization methods and personal reflection into one web space. We explore the new project and compare its approach with Tarteel’s free and paid offerings.
Digital learning offers a simple benefit: you can return to practice whenever you have time. For a beginner, that may mean a short passage and a word that becomes clear. For someone pursuing hifz — memorizing the Quran — it may mean revisiting a difficult section. ALLIM Qur’an is building a learning journey around this daily practice.
As of September 14, 2026, the project is under active development. We opened its public learning space without registering and checked verse navigation, a word card, method switching and the personal journal form. This is a review of the available interface and official terms, not a speech-recognition accuracy test.
What makes ALLIM worth exploring
Explore a word while reading. Selecting a word opens its meaning and grammar card. For example, “ذَٰلِكَ” in verse 2:2 displayed the meaning “this / that” and a demonstrative-pronoun explanation. This connects reading with understanding without assembling a lesson across several windows. The depth of analysis can vary by word.
Choose a memorization method. The Hifz section presents four modes: 300 repetitions, 33 repetitions with progressive linking, bottom-up “Turkish masonry,” and “Lawh” handwriting practice. Switching to 33× actually changes the displayed stages: an individual verse, a linked passage and a whole page. These numbers are rules within particular modes, not a guarantee that every learner will achieve the same result.
“Quran in the heart” makes the journey visible. Counters and stages show the current task and the intended progression from individual verses to continuous page recitation. A revision queue and saved verses sit alongside them. Testing the complete voice-based cycle was outside this review.
“An ayah in life” connects study with action. The journal invites a reflection, a time to act and a date to revisit the outcome. In our example, the service explicitly said that scholarly insights for the selected verse were not yet connected. This is a useful boundary: a personal note must not be presented as tafsir — authoritative Quranic interpretation.

Comparison sources: ALLIM’s public Companion, Tarteel’s feature table and its free-version help page. Tarteel’s features were checked against its official descriptions; no paid subscription was purchased for testing. Features omitted from this table should not be assumed absent.
During our check, Tarteel displayed $9.99 per month, or $7.50 per month billed annually. The latter requires annual billing rather than monthly payments of $7.50. ALLIM, meanwhile, states that its digital self-study tools should be free. Live lessons and teacher support form a separate Academy offering. ALLIM’s appeal therefore lies in accessible entry and bringing different learning activities together. It is too early to call it a complete replacement for every Tarteel capability.
Start learning and help others discover it
Visit ALLIMQURAN.COM, choose “Start learning” and select a familiar verse. Explore its translation and a word card, then look through the hifz methods. Begin with a manageable session; discuss pace and correct recitation with a qualified teacher. ALLIM’s own interface explains that word matching does not evaluate tajwid or intonation.
Try ALLIM and help people hear about it. Share the link with relatives, your teacher and anyone seeking an accessible Quran-learning companion. Explain what helped and what needs improvement. The more people find a tool that suits them and offer useful feedback, the more benefit the project can bring.
