Arabic text: كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ
Sahih al-Bukhari, hadith 6021, the book of good manners, in the chapter on good deeds as charity. The hadith belongs to al-Bukhari’s authentic collection. Sadaqah is rendered here as “charity”; the saying encompasses good actions, beyond monetary assistance.
